“I am looking for the body, my body,
which exists outside its patriarchal
definitions. Of course that is not
possible. But who is any longer
interested in the possible?” *
Emily Roysdon is a New York and Stockholm based artist and writer.
Roysdon recently developed the concept "ecstatic resistance" to talk about the impossible and imaginary in politics.
She is editor and co-founder of the queer feminist journal and artist collective, LTTR and writer of lyrics for Brooklyn based band MEN.
Last week she made a new performance "I Am a Helicopter, Camera, Queen" for the Tate Live Performance Room series.
